Bloom Renewables Hits the Road: Community Energy Events Across Devon
Bloom Renewables has been making waves across Devon this spring, engaging with farmers, residents, and local businesses through a series of energy-focused events, and there’s plenty more to come.
Over the past two months, the Bloom team has been actively involved in several major gatherings aimed at raising awareness of renewable energy solutions, talking about innovation and supporting local communities in the transition to net zero.
The journey began on 4th March at the Future of Farming event at Bicton College, followed by a vibrant Net Zero event on 10th March at the Apricot Centre.
Later in the month, Bloom participated in Mole Avon Farmers Week on 24th March, meeting with farmers and landowners to discuss the opportunities renewable energy presents for agriculture.
But the season’s biggest highlight is happening tomorrow evening, 1st May, as Bloom hosts its first-ever Energy Summit at The Barrel House in Totnes. The event marks a major milestone for the organisation, bringing together local voices, innovators, and energy experts for an evening of talks, networking, and community empowerment.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting our own summit,” said a Bloom Renewables spokesperson. “It’s a chance to celebrate the momentum we’ve built and to invite the community into the heart of the conversation around local energy solutions.”
Looking ahead, Bloom Renewables will be appearing at several more key events:
-
11th May – Energy Wise, Totnes: A showcase of smarter energy choices for homes and businesses.
-
14th–17th May – Devon County Show: One of the county’s biggest gatherings, where Bloom will be promoting renewable energy and rural resilience.
-
2nd June – Southwest Grain Network: A gathering focused on sustainable food systems and the role of energy in supply chains.
-
31st July – Totnes District Show: Wrapping up the summer with this beloved local event, Bloom will be on hand to share knowledge and connect with the community.
These events are part of Bloom Renewables’ wider mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable, locally led energy future in the South West.
